I took Ethan for 1 year post op xrays today. The good news is that he is definitely growing as there was quite a bit of growth in his tibs and some in his femur as well. The bad news is we are most definitely looking at having to revise the rods in his tibias this year and possibly the FD (expanding rod) in his left femur. I was really hoping that we would be able to make it through the rest of the year without surgery but that doesn't look likely.
We e-mailed the xrays to Dr. E this evening and we are awaiting his response on what should be done and when.

| Left femur - The FD rod has come loose from the distal end and is not expanding. For now it is at least supporting the bone, but you can see there is some bowing already. |

| Right Tib - He has grown quite a bit here and he has some bowing but the bigger issue is that the end of the rod is coming close to the osteotomy and it has to be replaced soon. |

Left Tib - Same issue with bowing and the osteotomy site is not healing well in this tib.
